Vacuum Vapor Degreasing Service

Able Vapor Degreaser

Machining processes leave your metal parts covered in grease, oil and other lubricants that can trap metal chips and be difficult to remove. This is especially true for parts with complex geometries, blind holes and other hard-to-reach areas.

You may have tried soaking in various solvents or aqueous, soap-based methods or even manual cleaning and found your efforts ineffective, time-consuming or both.

This is why Able Electropolishing provides vacuum vapor degreasing service that is highly effective in cleaning your parts, including the interior of holes and crevices.

Whether used as a stand-alone service or for pre-cleaning in preparation for electropolishing or passivation services, Able Electropolishing’s ultrasonic-enabled vacuum vapor degreaser provides, safe, effective, and automated degreasing using a modified alcohol solvent and vacuum technology that leaves parts degreased and cleaned while protecting against environmental harm and the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Degreasing Options

Capabilities of Able Electropolishing’s vapor degreasing service include:

  • Vacuum degreasing and cleaning using vapor only
  • Vacuum degreasing and cleaning using ultrasonic technology and vapor
  • Vacuum degreasing and cleaning with solvent immersion
  • Customizable time settings
  • Customizable part rotation up to 360°

What Parts Can Be Cleaned Using Vapor Degreasing?

Metal parts of any alloy type can be safely cleaned using vacuum degreasing including:

  • Fragile parts
  • Parts with complex geometric shapes and/or blind holes
  • Parts up to 23” x 16” by 10” and up to 220 pounds
  • Small parts

How VaCuum Vapor Degreasing works

Vacuum vapor degreasing utilizes a modified alcohol solvent and vacuum technology to dissolve and flush away grease and oil from part surfaces and interiors.

If necessary, parts are rotated up to 360° to ensure that no oils are left behind. If more aggressive cleaning is needed, ultrasonic technology or solvent immersion can be incorporated into the process.

Our state-of-the-art vacuum degreasing unit is manufactured by Karl Roll GmbH & Co. KG one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of industrial parts cleaning equipment.

With expedited service available and a standard five-day turnaround time, Able Electropolishing’s state-of-the-art vacuum vapor degreasing service is one more way to take advantage of the capabilities, quality control, and customer service of the world’s largest electropolishing specialist.
